Kenani’s passion for building was fueled by growing up the child of a carpenter. That passion first led to other artistic endeavors: professional photography and interior design. However, the songs of construction kept calling and eventually got louder. She soon realized her calling couldn’t be ignored and quickly enrolled at ANEW to begin her journey into the built environment. It was there she began to develop her toolbox to take on the trades: carpentry, masonry, tile setting, plaster, and even sheet metal which she came to love. But it was at Charter she found her true calling; a place to help her move to the next level in her career; the professional home she’s been looking for throughout her journey; a place where she can learn without fear, and an opportunity to be heard and contribute.
